I agree !!! and thanks Achint for getting this started.

Great idea about signing up for the parts direct option !

and Frank, another great idea ! I too have some parts that are sitting around collecting dust and would be willing to offer to the list with proceeds going to Darin...

Come on guys, lets get this rolling...

Tom.

There is a common thread among the vast majority of listers who post
regularly or occasionally to this list. It is--I could not afford this car
without the members of this list. The help provided solving problems and
sourcing parts has saved myself and countless others many hours and dollars
(and marriages and car ownership) . I can work around lots of it now
without the list or s-cars web site, but only because they educated me.
I am on board to save all this. One thing I see right away is that
everyone should be sourcing lots of these parts they are whining about
through parts direct on the s-cars web site.
There's the first $20. Do it now. Perhaps all the technical info provided
should benefit the s-cars and urs4 websites tech forums with membership
fees for them or this list or both. For most , we don't need to hold a
charity event. We just need to repay some of what we owe.
For the others who contribute all the btdt and great stories that keep
this thing going--my thanks

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to say that the life support plug has been pulled on the
2002 Nationals event. I tried to save it but it clearly was not
happening. A phone discussion with Jimmy Pribble this morning
basically cemented the thought that it was time to give it up and try
to minimize the losses. I made an agreement with the hotel in order
to bail out of my contract with them for the weekend and limit my
loss. I really hate giving up on something that I have been working
on but I think this is the best outcome. For those of you who have
already registered, you have already received refunds if you did so
via PayPal. I'll be sending refund checks out tomorrow to those of
you who paid via check. If you have made hotel reservations at the
Marriot please let me know so I can get those refunded for you as
well.S-CARS.ORG
