I blew out my Michelin Man hose the other day (running just fine now, due to
a loaner from Charlie, Thank-you Sir!)and was wondering if anyone wanted to
sell a position in the Samco GP, since it is now closed.  Would the darn
thing blow while the GP was still open...NOOOOOOoooooo.

Point of interest.  When I borrowed the hose from Charlie, I noticed
immediately that it felt beefier, with thicker walls that felt harder to
collapse.  I knew that If I ever made this comment on the list, that I would
be chastised for vaguery and lack if empirical data, so here you go.
My stock hose off of a 93 S4 weighs 425 grams (15 oz.)
Charlie's stock hose off of his 95 S6 weighs 496 grams (17.5 oz.)

First let's not even waste the bandwidth with replies concerning the
stiffness of one lister's hose vs. another's.  It's just too easy.  I will
also refuse to answer inquiries as to why I possess a gram scale.  What I
would like to know, is if Audi made improvements to this part in later model
years, and if this is what I would get if I bought a new one from a
stealership?
