I got the Motorola i90 from Nextel and took about their $100 hands free Car
kit. Wired it up to the stock mic and put the electronics in where the
stock speaker is. Everything fit well, and with a few evenings playing with
plastic and JB weld (Only on the internals, no visable JB on my S!), it
looks and performs like stock! Even looks like it belongs. There was some
soldering, RJ45 adapter, and DB25 adaptor for the trunk, but I can put the
stock phone back 100% if I wanted to.
Just a thought, but if you put your mind to it, and take your time, you can
make just about anything work and look like it belongs there.
