Serge

Finally, a voice of reason. Well boys and girls the vaunted "too large for
you if you know what's good for you" sway bar arrived at Autosportwerks
yesterday. Dave Jones slapped it on and I drove the car for a few miles
today. My front bumper cap was still not finished so I couldn't pick the car
up today as I had hoped.

My initial impressions are to put it in one word "AWESOME". The car is
absolutely wonderful. I have to give some of the credit, begrudgingly, to the
Bay Area Italian, Brian Billotti and Edwin for being my inspiration for
ultimate suspension set-up. I am using his specifications for spring rates on
the coil-over set-up but the rear sway bar is just, wow! I took one fairly
sharp 110 degree turn at speed with full on boost and the car tracked
absolutely neutral. No understeer and no oversteer. I can't wait to get it to
the track.

BTW, my impressions of the aluminum flywheel, Centerforce clutch, CRB 6-speed
are just as astounding. Kudos to the Don, Frank Amoroso for filling my shift
linkage shaft with lead while suffering from the flu. Kudos also to Brendan
Hudak who did the short shift mod. Thanks guys. The flywheel makes a huge
difference in my car's low-end acceleration. First and second are scary fast.
I've decided that I have to get a shift light to help me manage this beast.
The lower threshold of third and fourth gear makes everything feel just
right. Why didn't Audi do this for us to begin with? That's all for now I'll
be gone for the weekend and I pick up my car on Tuesday if that #42$##4&8
bumper cover is done. I'll provide more info after I have some more miles on
it.

Hap, turning oh so flat in Evergreen, Maguire
