I've been following this discussion with interest. Currently having
only the '95 S6, it has the stock 26mm bar on the front and no rear bar.
The '93 V8 Quattro I had was the same setup with a 26mm front bar.

What's your recommendation for a replacement front bar?
    What's available through Audi ... 27mm and 28mm?
If the target is something larger than 28mm, what's a good source?
Seems I recall you have to change the mounting bushings to correspond
to the larger bar size. Any suggestions on what flexible material?

And for a different (sort of) discussion while I have all of
your attentions -

For non track use, my primary complaint about handling as it was/is,
is doing a high speed flick-turn(©). This is an Ohio technical term
for a quick freeway lane change at 80+ MPH, where you almost jerk the
steering wheel right & left (or the other way). This causes the back
of the car to sway violently and act like it's going to come loose.

With stock OEM springs, shocks, and 16"x8" wheels with various tires
that were stock 225/50x16 size, this bordered on what I'd call dangerous.

The car now has Eibach springs and Bilstein Sport shocks, and 17"x8" wheels
with 245/40x17 tires.

Lowering the car with stiff shocks made the flick-turn swaying somewhat
less violent. Adding the 17" wheels & tires made more improvement than
the springs & shocks.

This flick-turn (©) condition occurs power on, power off, even with the
clutch pushed in ... so I don't think it's torsen related.

Anybody got any thoughts or suggestions on what will reduce this
condition? (besides drive more carefully!)
