Re earlier post about the silver avant in CT, FWIW, I contacted the previou=
s owner about service history and inquired about accidents. He said a mino=
r ($4500) hit to right front right at the wheel. When I had a PPI at Dynam=
ic Auto they said there was a dent inside the right front wheel well (odd??=
) and the right rear rim was skun up on the inside?? (assumed it was a tir=
e rotation from RF)

Also, the "new Pilots" were cupped. That could just be due to alignment, b=
ut.......

And btw, the PO was a NYC attorney who is unlikely to be feeding misinforma=
tion. It was pretty clear from talking with him that he never did any main=
t=2E even tho it was free from audi. He said he went to a jiffylube type =
place once in a while. When the selling dealer ran the service history, t=
here was only a couple warranty/recall items. No oil changes or anything.

Anyway, that was enought to scare me off, at least at that 22k price. Othe=
rwise it sounds like a pretty good car. I had a quattro in the not too dis=
tant past that had similar front hit damage (from hitting a deer) and I co=
uld never get it lined up right again. ate tires.

It was pretty tough tracking down the PO, so if anybody is looking at that =
car and wants the info, let me know.

Still seeking a pure stock, low mileage replacement for my 92 S4 with hi mi=
les (which I am not selling, just moving into light duty). Prefer a sedan=
 but will consider avant.
