hello All-

Well, I tore 1/2 the car apart before figuring out that the offending Chime
relay that I was speaking of is located just behind the main inst. cluster.
Which wound up being only 5 bolts to take out, then carefully working it out
from behind the steering wheel. Tricky, but not impossible.

The offending relay is pn 4A0 919 439. For now, I am just going to cut the
neg wire that leads to the tiny speaker that is in the top of the relay to
silence the Chime/Alarm and put everything back together. I can at least
drive in peace back to CT. I'll also call the local dealer Monday to see if
they have one of these in stock. Might even be able to fix it properly,
wouldn't that be nice!

So anyway I seem to have solved my own troubles here, and decided to post a
follow up in case anyone else has a similar problem.

Any further comments are still appreciated. Hope everyone is having a good
weekend!
