I have a question/problem with my transmission. This morning I got
into the car and went to work and noticed that everytime I shifted
into third the gears ground like the clutch was not engaged.  Upon my
way home I found how to avoid the grinding, I can do one of the
following:

1) Let the rpms drop below 3,500
2) Shift into fourth first then into third.

Either of these actions prevent the grinding.  This only happens in
third.  Any Ideas?  The clutch has been heavy since I bought the car
26K miles ago.  I currently have 107K.

I look forward to any ideas.  Tranny, clutch, fluid, O2 sensor (hey
its an Audi :))...etc.
