[s-cars] Anodized Roof Racks

Although I've got an Avant, I'm also looking at this even more closely for
my almost complete Casablanca ("refrigerator")white 95.5 sedan.   I've got a
93 s4 parts car, and I'm considering swapping the 95.5's chrome off in favor
of the 93's black.   A couple of observations:

1) on the 93 s4, the trim is black rubber -- not black anodized. Not sure if
the Avant you speak of is anodized or not.
2) The qtr windows on the 95+ cars ( i.e, the cars with chrome around the
windows) glue in while the older cars use clips & rivets. The window frame
(with the chrome) is now part of the qtr window assembly and can't be
disassembled,  so the solution is not so easy.  Don't know but think the
Avant switched over to glue in at the same time.

I've done some thinking on this...

For our wagons, I believe the black anodized trim from a '92-94 100 avant
should swap right over...with the exception of the rear windows, which would
have to be removed with the trim.

I'm not aware of anodized roof rails being available from Audi...these would
definitely have to be done by a local shop. The question then becomes
whether it's cheaper/better to have everything anodized versus swapping.

Anyone have a black trim set from a 100 avant they want to sell me? :)
