[s-cars] Post-Track Tranny oil leak

Anyone,

I just tracked my 1995.5 S6 avant yesterday, and all was fine until the last
session. I finished up and noticed some smoke coming from under the hood,
and saw some trranny fluid coming out at the top of where the transmission
meets the front drive. We determined it was not from the vent, since the
vent sits a lot higher. Someone thought it might be a "faulty switch", but
I have no idea about what switch woudl be there.

Since there was no sign of this pon prior lapping that day, and since it
soon stopped, and since the leak was on the top of this area, and not
leaking from the bottom, they said it should be OK to drive home (150
miles), which I did. No sign of oil leaking since then, so I assume it must
have been due to some hard tracking on the car. But naturally, I am
concerned about any fluid loss from the transmission.

I have noticed no difference in shifting, still smooth as silk. The car has
59,000 miles and I am noticing no differences in the drivetrain. Any
suggestions on what the problem might be, whether it is OK to drive until I
bring it in (Monday)?

Thanks,
