True,

But just like Porsche is not going to make the Boxster faster than the
more expensive 996, Audi will not allow Quattro gmbh to make a faster
Audi at a cheaper price. They can but they won't. If you want more
performance then you have to pay more.

Plus, what is reasonable price anyway?

If people want only to spend $20-30k consumer can buy WRX or the
upcoming Lancer Evolution. Yet some consumer and/or magazine reviewer
complain about the lack of "refinement" of the WRX.

My frustration has been mostly with AoA offerings here in the US. They
bring the A8L and not bring the RS4. They bring the neuS4 way late
almost at the end of its life. Then they bring the S8 and S6avant at
ridiculous price/performance ratio. Lately they are bringing in the RS6
sedan but not the RS6 avant because the S6 avant is a showroom
decoration. Do all the above sound illogical??????
