A few A/C thoughts:
Agree with Paul on this. About the only time I run A/C in the car is
when I have passengers and am driving more sanely than normal -- hmmmm,
perhaps A/C does sap power. (Gotta love NorCal Bay Area weather.)
Have read that tests have shown A/C to actually improve gas mileage
slightly at freeway speeds, because the windows are up, which reduces drag??
Previously owned a 96 Mustang Cobra. On that piece of Amerkun iron, the
A/C clutch disengaged for a period, when one was hard on the right hand
pedal -- smart. Read that one of the mods on the Bondurant School's
Cobra fleet was too disable this feature. Otherwise, got a might toasty
in the Phoenix summer. Somewhat surprised that the S-Car wouldn't do the
same.

Wife in car = A/C on (butofcourse)
Wife in car ALSO = Drive like a human being (not worth incessant nagging
