Yup - well whatever, I'm still pretty friggin happy with the luxo
quattro avant rocket. Great cruiser, faster than most anything around
it, can hold 6 people +Xmas tree, always praying for snow and paid for.
Ref. bimmers, I think a Brit friend of mine kind summed up my thoughts
on them when he muttered something about them getting a bit "rattley"
over time. And who would doubt an englishmans word? :~) Also; I seem
to detect bmw quietly introducing their own version of quattro. And,
finally wassup with that new 745? Watch how fast they change that
design. Loved Autoweek a few weeks ago featured side by side picures
from the rear of 745 vs Ford escort of a few years ago. hilarious ...

Oh yeah ref. fuel rail and airbox covers. Another 100% guaranteed
failure rate for these items. Mine were always broken at the dealer
when they would try to remove the air cover by just yanking on the left
side and then lean on the fuel rail cover while reaching over the
engine. Sooo,
I am now covering these covers and firewall cover met red black carbon
fiber/kevlar that I got here:

Still working on them. It does take time between epoxy coats. I
started by applying a light coat of epoxy to glue the fabric to the
cover the hold fabric in position. Now gradually adding additional
coats till I think they look okay.. Its a bit of an art form.
So far looking good. I kinda wonder how it will hold up to engine heat
though..
Cheers'
