[s-cars] tool/fluid carrying in trunk?

One of my most successful endeavors with the S4!
For some of the loose stuff, I used 2 rubbermaid plastic storage boxes, I
think they're the 12 quart size, up on the shelf at the front of the trunk.
They take up the space on either side of the ski sack opening, but I can
still carry skis normally. I fastened each box to the metal frame behind
the back seat with 2 screws. These boxes carry lightweight things like
the first aid kit, emergency blanket, ice scraper, 12 volt air compressor,
etc.
Everything else is in the spare tire well. First, I flipped the spare
upside-down. I fixed the hold-down screw being too long by using a
several-inch long piece of PVC pipe as a spacer. The space in the center of
the spare is great for jumper cables and whatever else fits. Containers
like oil bottles fit well in the corners outside of the tire. I finished it
off with two yellow-handled plastic storage boxes from Home Depot. They're
about $10 each, exactly the right height, and 2 of them fit almost perfectly
on top of the spare. I got all of my tools, spare parts, and a bunch of
other things into them. They're not particularly high-quality or sturdy,
but they're exactly the right size.
I don't like the space-saver spares, but I'd never have gotten all my stuff
down there with a full-sized tire. I'm carrying all of my stuff in the
trunk with absolutely nothing bouncing around loose.
