[s-cars] shipping wheels + tires (yea, again.)

So i filtered through my s-car archives and found some discussion of shipping tires alone, best way was fedex ground, 20lbs per tire worked out to 40-50$ for the set of 4.

but i need to ship wheels + tires....so i'm looking at something like 200lbs total from OH to CA (gah).  side to side shipping places the size at ~26x26x15, somewhere around 50$ per set of 2.

anybody got a better way?
