Hehe. Small world. I think I may have taken those pictures. The RS4 seats
are a direct bolt-in for the B5 S4, but the rails are about 3/4" closer
together than the C4, so they will not fit the older cars. But the UrS4/S6
seats offer WAAAYYYY better support than the RS4 seats, so its a non-issue.
Also, the rear seat backs will fit the B5 Avant ONLY. We trial fit a set in
the back of a 2000 S4 sedan and the latch for the fold down feature is
completely different. Also, the trim piece between the seat and the door
frame is about 1/2" wider on the Avant, so it leaves a gap in the Sedans.
On a similar note, anyone have contact information for Ben Howell? I
believe he managed to shoehorn a pair of S4 seats into a '91 200. I want to
know how he "bent" the brackets on the seat frame to fit the rails. They're
BEEFY!
