You're right that the pump is fairly easy to replace. You'll lose a lot
less coolant if you have something ready to plug the hoses after you take
them off. Suitable plugs can be a bolt, cork, or anything else round of the
correct size. I'm not aware of anywhere to bleed the system when you're
done. Don't pay more than $90 to $100 for the pump. The internet parts
dealers sell the same Bosch pump that you'd get from the dealer.
