Hi turbo fans.
Im interested in learning as much as possible about the ins and outs of
the turbo system on my 95.5.  Ive been following all these discussions
re waste gates, bypass, intercoolers, chips, boost, flow restrictions
etc. but im a little in the dark as to how all these components work
together.  Im wondering if there are any resources which lay down the
basics on this stuff.  Should I just break down and buy the Bentley
manual?
For example where can I find a basic "plumbing diagram" and discription
of when and how turbo and waste gate work together etc.
Also - ive been wondering how a simple stage 1 chip alone can gain you
+/- 50 hp.  I subscribe to the law that you dont get something for
nothing.  If its so simple why didn't the Audi engineers do it?  Whats
the catch?
