I got a phone call from Keith yesterday about 5pm. He said he was having a
problem with too much boost. He asked if I had a spare WGFV, I did, so I
ended up having him meet me at the shop at 6am this morning to have a look.
I really didn't think that the WGFV was the reason for too much boost, but I
changed it for him non-the-less. I believe his problem lies in the
wastegate diaphragm. John Cassara and I pulled off the wastegate cap for a
look. The diaphragm didn't have any visible holes so put it back together.
I also removed the Forge while I was in the area and replaced it with a
stock unit because I've seen what happens when the Forge seal comes loose
and slams into the impeller. Anyway the problem still
persists....intermittent @30psi. Check the codes with a 1552 and came up
with nada. Now I wanted to replace the diaphragm but the wastegate was
still smokin' a$$ hot from the middle-o'-the-night run from Texas to
Atlanta. So Keith took the new diaphragm with him and will do the swap
tomorrow morning before they leave his hotel.

How am I doing? Well, I spoke to Keith around midnight last night, set the
alarm for 4am and went to bed, woke up at 4 and left my house in north GA
around 5, 6am I was at the shop pulling things apart, 7:15 Keith heads out
for Road Atlanta (had to be there at 8am) and I go grab some coffee. Got to
work at 9, Coffee, Coffee, Coffee...................:-)

Good luck Keith, Stay Safe.
