Speaking of Michelin Man hose, and Samco, what's the other brand, Jimmy? Who
offers it?
In other words, STAY OUTTA THE BOOST until you can replace that hose
(preferably w/ a Samco unit).
Frank - I talked to Mance yesterday - He claims no more Samco hoses are to
be had anywhere???

Guys,
I hooked up with Keith Maddock yesterday at the TWS leg of the One Lap of
America. Keith was having problems blowing off his Samco lower IC hose. So
I brought along my Si hose, which is branded either "SFS" or "STS". I can't
tell. Anyway, there were two differences in the hoses. On my hose, there
are three metal reinforcement bands that go around the "Bibendum's Belly"
portion of the hose. Perhaps more importantly, the hose is almost 1" longer
than the Samco. The extra inch allows the hose clamps to do their job
better. We shall await Keith's track testing of this hose, but I never had
any problems on or off track, when the hose was on my car. Since I have not
heard of many folks having trouble with the Samco, perhaps Keith was the
victim of some sloppy Monday morning manufacture?
I purchased the hose from Keith Anderson at Anderson Motorsport. No
affiliation.

P.S. I have photos from the event, including a hose comparison photo, which
I will upload and post as soon as I can.
