I believe that for best wear, negative camber wants toe out, although
I'm unclear on the effect of caster on this belief. (Take a nickel,
say, and try to roll it with camber. To go straight, it wants the
leading edge biased in the other direction.) Toe out, as I'm sure you
appreciate, will make the car very twitchy, but perhaps better for
autocrossing. I ran a lot of negative camber on the rear of my Corvair,
and used 1/8 inch toeout, and wear was even, both on the street and on
the track.
