Actually, you don't have to replace the entire pedal assembly... just the
pedal itself. It's held in place by the grommet which connects into the
accelerator cable and two circlips that hold it to the frame below. Took me
about 10 minutes to replace (real easy once you figure out how the thing
works and that you just have to remove both the circlips and not unbolt the
entire assembly base.
Dissapointed that the replacement pedal is EXACTLY the same design, which
fails prematurely, but if it lasts me another 7-8 years, I guess I can't
complain.
