Hi all.

While Jim was talking to Seidl in Germany I was talking to Strictly Foreign
in PA, who is their US representative.  Several points came up.

1. The only copy of the front end for our cars was recently picked by
someone from Maryland with a very high power Audi (400HP range they
thought).  Since it was a cash pickup they don't have any record of the
person's name or address.  Is this someone on the list or does any one on
this list know who it is?

2. They list the material as "Flexible Fiberglass".  They feel it is very
durable and would rate it much better than urethane for durability as well
as much easier to fix.

3. They said that it does require trimming the ends off our bumpers before
mounting the Seidl front air dam to a US C4 series front end.  They didn't
know of any other problems.  Maryland owner, please speak up!

4. They will receive another sample in 4 - 6 weeks.  Anyone live near
Strictly Foreign Accessories, 5374 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown, PA 18106 that
can pass by in 4 to 6 weeks to examine it?  I'm about 1 1/2 hours away so I
can do it if no one else is available.

They seem to have a better product than SGI from the information received to

date, but I will wait for SGI feedback first...

BTW, it's amazing how I can now get info because of a potential group buy

where before most manufactures couldn't be bothered answering ! (power in

numbers I guess).

I'm currently in communications with them to see what they have to offer and

I'm waiting for further answers to questions, Pictures, group prices, etc.

If they send me any pictures I'll post on the web site.

Ok, here's the Seidl-tunning Question and Answer period...

*Note: Product made with Fiberglass reinforced plastic (GFK) (*S-heads, is

that good?)

1) Do your units fit North American Bumpers? If not could they be modified

to fit?

Answer: Yes, our bumpers for C4 are complete bumpers including bumper

carrier

      and they should fit also onto american cars. The only problem could

      be that american cars often have bigger bumper carriers - perhaps

      you will have to modify them. But it should be no problem.

2) Is the unit an add-on (cut existing bumper) or is it complete? (can it be

made complete?)

Answer:     Our bumpers are complete - not cut!  The original bumper must be

replaced.

3) Are the all the units the same for the S4 and S6?

Answer: S4 and S6 are the same.

4) Can you offer fabrication in any other material than Fiberglass? (Carbon

Fiber, ABS Plastic, PURIM, etc.?)

Answer:     No, we have only GFK - Fibreglass.

5) Would you be interested in doing a production run for 20 units?

Answer: Please tell us what you want to have!? Perhaps we can help you.

 Body Kits:

 1) Do you offer a body kit?

Answer:     Yes for Audi C4/S4 and S6 also for Audi A6 C4 and Audi 100:

      Sorry for the delay in giving you updates, here's the latest news:

      LLTEK called me today (finally...), they said they are definitely

interested

      in developing some styling options. I'm supposed to leave my car

with them

      for a few days in about two weeks time so they can evaluate styling

options

      and decide what they will move forward with. I'll let you know how

that

      turns out (I hope they have one of their nice cars to give me as a

loaner

      ;-)

      The owner said they are interested in exploring the following

options:

      1)    They want to see if a Reiger or Zender Front lip Air dam

will fit

      somehow.

      2)    Double lip spoiler

      3)    Rear Wing

      4)    HID Kit (plus they want to attempt to offer Euro's and maybe

clear

      corners)

      5)    Pedal set. (they will see what fits from their products)

      6)    Eyebrows (probably straight ones only)

      7)    He said he can get Kamei grills, and knows a local

manufacturer that

      are making parts for Ferrari that they just started working with and

will

      ask if they will make the lower grills or they might do them

themselves

      (they've done it before they said).

      One thing to note, they said they have changed their policy and will

now

      offer all styling options in two price categories, painted or

unpainted.

      On other news...

      Front Mesh Sport Grill and/or matching lower Grill Mesh for bumper

intake!

      Note: 18 People are interested in this option.

      I contacted grill craft http://www.grillcraft.com/

make the

      grills, they're response was the following: "We would love to start

a line

      of Audi grilles but at this time we are behind on our current line

possibly

      when our design staff catches up but I would not expect to see any

Audi

      Products til early 2003". Since LLTEK answered me today, there is a

good

      chance they will come through on this one.

      RS2 Style Front Bumper (add-on or otherwise):

      Note: 19 People are interested in this option.

      Zender: No longer has molds to produce more and says there

distributors do

      not have stock (according to their records)

      AutoSport Werks: Working on a design, but will not release further

info,

      except they hope to have it ready within a year.

      SGI: Currently being contacted, will post when I get feedback.

      one manufacture: "I just talked to him to get an idea, he said about

      1400-1800 for tooling and approx. 400 per hood. At quantity 5

approx. 700

      each copy. On the outside with 9 people that would only be $200

each.  It

      would only be another $400 per copy then, for quantity of 9."
