Unless you really want to take you instrument cluster appart, I prefered th=
e spot where the Auto Trannie readout would have been. I'll e-mail you som=
e pics, or you can ask Neil for them. It fits better and is directly in yo=
ur line of sight right above and to the right of the wheel. Far easier loc=
ation, and you can entertain the passanger more too :-) The factory cover =
actually makes a great receiver for the readout.

Subject: [s-cars] Instrument cluster ?
I am planning my install of Neil's VBM LED boost meter. I will be
installing it in the location of the missing trip computer display. It
should look factory stock when complete. However, I have a question. There
are two circular openings in the board behind there for lamps. They have
metal contact points in a ring around them. I would like to cut a slot
between them to create a single wide opening to thread the strap cable
through. If I do this will I damage / interrupt other connections?? In
other words will other functions / conductors / connections be disrupted by
doing this thereby toasting my entire IC? Or, are these connections
isolated and the removal of the material between these holes
inconsequential?
