My valve is actually the newer version they sell. Not the roundish one that came in different colors, but one that looks more like the Turbo XS valve. But the problem was exactly as you describe - leakage between the main body and the side tube.

I also had a problem with the blue anodized TAP BP valve. It was
actually also leaking at the connection between main body and the small
side tube on the BP valve. I believe that they use somekind of browmish
epoxy/glue on them.
