[s-cars] S4 Emissions Failure/also Bypass Valves

I don't remember seeing the valve on your car Chad, but it sounds like the same one (and probably from the same source).
If anyone would like to take my valve and have it welded, make me an offer. Personally, I'm going to stay with the stock Bosch valve I bought in a pinch, and go with a Forge if and when it fails.

Gary, as you know I have this same valve. If any of you have this newer,
adjustable from the top via a 10mm? wrench valve, I strongly recommend that
you have this 'body to side tube' portion of the valve welded together. It
seems that this is an eventual failure point as it is only glued together.
The valve did work flawlessly for two years before I noticed the failure.
I paid $40 to have a company here in Boulder weld the sucker up(dissasemble
the valve before welding!). Yes, if I had known of this problem prior to
buying it, I would have gone with a Forge/Bailey but now this valve should
be good forever. HTH,
Chad
