[s-cars] Auto box on S4/S6

Ummm....I don't know of any S4's or S6's that were built with an automatic
transmission.  If you mean that the 4wd system is put into a differential
lock mode automatically vs. by a switch then yes, the S6's are put into this
mode by a computer system and the S4's are done by a switch.  However, don't
confuse this with normal all wheel drive.  Both cars are all wheel drive all
the time.  The differential lock simply locks the two rear wheels so they
turn together, kind of lock an old positraction on American RWD cars.  Hope

Consider to buy used 94/S4 or 96/S6 but get confuse on the transmission
system. I was told that the 4wd system are difference. There only auto box
available here. Anybody can explain on the above question.
