[s-cars] Air leak or turbo whoosh?

I also have been getting a 'whoosh' under boost, but my 'whoosh' has been
accompanies by a slight whistle. (RS2 Turbo by the way) My buddy has been
having the same problem as I (K26/K27 hybrid). Both of us seem to be
missing a few psi of max boost. Our cars feel just a bit off from where
they once were. Hope we can get this all figured out.

Subject: [s-cars] Air leak or turbo whoosh?
I had pretty much ruled out any air leaks in the system but in my search
for
more power am back to thinking there is way to much outside noise under
boost. I have all the samco hoses and an upgraded MAF to turbo hose with
heavy duty clamps so I am positive those are not leaking. I even have a
second set of samco in case of emergency hoses that I put on just to make
sure I wasn't missing something. Does anyone else with a BIG turbo get a
loud
whooshing under boost? With the windows up it is loud. With the windows down
it sounds like it is coming from the intercooler but that may be just
because
I am sitting right there. When I first bought the car it had a small hole in
the turbo down hose and the car would have hesitations and sometimes even
overboost but with this the only hesitation is trying to get the big turbo
spooled up and after that it pulls strong. I guess my question is does
anyone
else have the loud air flow with a big turbo? Thanks for any help.
I used to live in Steamboat Springs Co. but that was before I had a s-car,
now I wish I still lived there. Not much going on over here in Michigan as
far as tuners who even have herd of a s-car.
