[s-cars] um, help!

I just saw a tool at Sears for retracting rear calipers. It was a little
cube, with different tangs on different sides to fit different cars. It
claims to fit all domestic and some import applications, but doesn't give a
list. You use a 3/8" socket wrench with extension with the cube tool to
screw in the calipers. About $11.

I think someone on the list reported modifing a similar tool to fit Audi
calipers.

I've got my rear brakes apart and need to retract the piston, but I don't
have the fancy schmanzy Audi too.

Can someone give me the tip on how to do it with a C-clamp?

Interestingly, one side of the rear had almost full pads, the other was down
to the metal backing plate (Mintex Reds)

Thanks!
