Thanks Brent and Chad. I will end up having it replaced under warranty so
that isn't a big deal. It's just that I need to take a long trip with the
car soon and I was hoping I could swap the one out of the Corrado in the
interim as I'm not sure when I can get the car into the shop. I looked into
it further and the difference appears to be in the way the connector is
keyed. Of course with the cold weather upon us I could get away with not
having the thing wired for the short term and it would just serve to plug
the leak.

Mine has failed at the seam for the two halves of the plastic housing. I
remember this being a common failure on the Corrados as well and supposedly
there was a redesigned version, at least on the VW end, that has 4 screws
holding the two halves of the base together rather than the snapped
together/glued version of the original. We'll see what I end up with when I
have mine replaced as the shop will most likely be using dealer parts.

Bob
