Taka,
The viscous center diff of my 93 Subaru Legacy with manual trans was advertised as a 50/50 F/R torque split in stable conditions. In comparison, the auto-trans version of these cars used a electronically controlled clutch coupling which had a 90/10 F/R torque bias in stable conditions.

**other than reliability.. hehe, though to be fair the Subie got a trans rebuild at 55k under warranty....

I might be totally wrong on this, but my understanding
of VC center diffs is that the car is 100% FWD until slip
occurs, then torque is distributed to the back.
In that scenario, your car has no drive in the rear and
on an incline, accelerating, you've transferred weight
to the rear before the drivetrain can catch up, thus slippage.
There is a steep hill on a nearby on-ramp and I've never
experienced the scenario you've described in any Audi quattro
I've driven on that part- 5ktq, 200q, A4q.

It happens, did it in a Celica GT4 (rear Torsen,
centre VC) WOT in 2nd gear up a steep incline,
overtaking in wet/icy conditions. I could feel the
back end move around slightly.
The steep incline reduces traction so you wouldn't
need an RS2 setup to cause problems.
