I had great luck w/ Amsoil Series 2000 20W-50 in the Summer.  Run Amsoil 7500 10W-30 in the Winter...quieted my lifter noise and even on my wife's VR6 and Brothers Toyota Tacoma.

It is amazing the difference it even made from Mobile1
