[s-cars] crazy fuel gauge

phew! glad to see that. i average between 19-21 mpg for mixed
freeway/street driving. best i've seen was 26 mpg, 2-way average
for trips to lake tahoe where i cruised at 90-100 mph.
the current tank has a gallon of toluene added to it, and i've been
*ahem* testing it, so i'm getting 17 mpg on this tankful. sadly,
i started with a pitiful 91 octane fuel, so the toluene is good for
only a bump to 92 octane, but the car definitely likes it better.
it no longer dumps boost at WOT. next stop: 100 octane at the
76 in san jose.
