[s-cars] In Other News...

HEHEHE :) I was really just speaking of straight line one way kind of lap
times at a dragstrip track.

But, if you have modified the '78 Trans Am with 650 lb/inch springs and nice
sticky 235 and 295 tires along with Konis and it handles at just over 1.0
g's the lap times that bring you back to the same point every lap are pretty
good too :) Although the oversteer can be pretty severe if you get a little
heavy with the 500 ft-lbs under your right foot before the right point in
the turn. Remember, this "hunk of iron" still weighs less than our S-Cars
by about 100-200 lbs.

I'll admit though it doesn't do too well in the snow, and if someone has a
sensitive ass like the panzees that review cars for the magazines then they
probably won't want to ride in it over metro-area roads.

How does 462 cubic inches relate to lap times?

Sounds like a huge lump of iron.

462 cubic inches does the trick :) And for much less than $15k.
