Gents,
Four years ago I installed a block heater in my CQ
but I think I sourced the part from a VW dealer.
This winter will be my first with the S4 and I
haven't yet checked to see if a block heater has
been installed. It amazes me that block heaters
were not standard equipment for the Canadian market.
My S4 resides in a heated garage when not in use
but I like to have a block heater for ski trips
and other occaisions when the car has to sit in
the cold. Yes, it may start without the heater but
I shudder to think of the extra wear on the engine.
