Greg-
I like Audis, but there are few cars that offer the price/
performance of the 951S and none of them are Audis.

For track use, you said. I'm all for getting the car that
can get me around with the lowest lap times, not just driving
a favorite marque. I guess it's a matter of opinion.

IMHO, none of the "C" chassis or "D" chassis Audis are
suitable for track use when you get fast enough that it
really matters.

As I lay in bed last night I started thinking about it and eventually
began mentally "stripping" a 944 Turbo or 944 S2 and got the sucker down

to around 2900 lbs.  Plus, as Keith points out, they are RWD.  However,
this would not allow me to fly the flag of my favorite marque.
