Joe- when I have the funds for it, believe me, I'll
buy a track car, don't worry about that. As for selling
the Audis, that's ridiculous- I'm not using a 951 as
a daily driver year-round. When you're limited to using
the daily driver at the track, a compromise is required.

All of this silliness about how fast these big Audis
are at the track cracks me up.

I never said that it's not fun to mess w/ bad Porsche
drivers' heads and yes, the Audi is a very good all-around
car.

However, when you're talking about racing, or even just
track days, it's a whole different story. You may disagree,
but to me, it's a lot more fun to drive a lighter, more
track-worthy car at the track than something that can be
made to be adequate at the track.

Instead of simply discounting what I'm saying, talk to some
people who race and pick their brains, you'll see where I'm
coming from. I'm slowly realizing that what they've been
telling me for years is true- the whole "why are you doing
all of that stuff to a street car? If you want to go fast at
the track, learn how to drive and buy a real race car."

As for learning how to drive, stop driving like a psycho
on the streets and learn how to drive in a controlled
environment. It's a lot safer and can be a lot more rewarding
when you don't have to worry about traffic, road hazards
(like deer), etc. Go auto-x and do some track events, you'll
learn infinitely more stuff in that environment than you ever
will driving on public roads.

You see how poorly a lot of the "Audiworld crowd" drives?
That's because they don't know how to drive and they don't
go about trying to learn how to drive in the most efficient
manner. Not saying I can drive, but at least I know better ways
to learn than a lot of those bozos.
