[s-cars] Speaking of Cheap Tools - how bad?

I use a large flat rubber coated jack pad rather than the cup shaped saddle.
This replacement pad plugs right into the fitting that takes the saddle, and
distributes the load over a wide surface. It's about 5" square, and I got it
from an online tool provider that's been referenced here in the past -
