[s-cars] Re: 6-speed Pro-Con-Ten

Guys,

Potomac-Chesapeake chapter of the Quattro, er Audi Club had a tech session
at the ever-accommodating Audi of Alexandria (VA) this past Sunday. I
looked, looked again, and even got a trouble light to SEE what I was looking
at.

I was not able to find anything resembling a (Pro-con-ten) cable looping on
top of my '95 S6 5-speed near the firewall or rearward. The best view, on my
car with the Stromung 3" exhaust, is on the passenger side where I can see
the shifter rods and that reddish orange bellows boot that keeps fumes from
coming up through the shifter... nothing.

I neglected to check the build date of my car, but it's definitely not a 95
1/2 with the wide radio or lack of diff lock.

Just look for the cables.  I believe they loop through at the frame rails
near
the firewall.
