Robert!
Mixing assymetrical with normal is no problem, but you are not sure the
rolling circumference is the same, even if the tyre has the same
dimensions.

Last year I was struggling to get som new rear-tyres(325/30-ZR18) and
wanted to step up a bit on the front to 265-275/35-ZR18. I had to choose
between Pirelli and Michelin and to my suprise Pirelli had 4 different
pattern to choose between(Assimetrico,Rosso,Nero and a fourth I do not
recall the name of). What surprised me was that all had different
diameter(and of course
circumference) with as much as 10mm on the diameter, all on the same
265/35-18 dimension! I called the tech dept at Pirelli and yes the guy
told me that they were different because sometimes the
factorys(Porsche,Merc,Audi) required special sets with different
dimensions front/rear for their cars. His advice was to roll each tyre
one revolution on the ground and then measure, to get the best ones
for our quattro systems.

I am not saying you are in trouble Robert, but I would propose a
measurement before closing the deal. Please give a feedback on the
result.

Best regards Joern,MTM RS
