Shawn,

If you did not take off your lower hose between the intercooler and the tube
that runs to the turbo I would highly suggest that. I had the same
whooshing sound and looked at the hose on the car and it looked just great.
I took it off and only then did I see the crack in it. Maybe this is the
michelin man hose you are speaking of. I have also had a failed bypass
valve and it has a more distinctive moaning sound to it than the whooshing
sound you seem to be describing. If the whoosing starts at about 5 psi and
you can't get the boost much over 10 psi then I would bet it is a leaky hose
somewhere. Usually when the bypass valve fails it seems to still go up to
about 12-14 psi, at least that's what happened to me.

Hi Guys,

So I took off my Michelin Man hose off cleaned it and guess what its in
great
shape. I put it back on tighten everything as much as possible I go for a
ride and still had the sound of escaping air. All the other hoses look
fine...could it be a blown BPV?

What symptoms would there be if my BPV was blown?

Regards,

Shawn
