Well put Colin.  The absolute best thing you can do, is forget the reads, and
drive these cars.  Audi besting the 4year old M5 with a limited production
model, seems a bit agressive in bragging by both audi and the rags.  Drive
ANY of the M rides track or street, and you will  look at any quattro
squarely in terms of what it doesn't have, not what it does.  I've been in
the S8 several times (even at Mid OH), it's very good, but it still is
looking for rain and a diet too be great.

this conclusion.  It is a truly phenomenal car in every sense and has a
better balance then any Audi to date except possibly the S8.  I am sure that
the RS6 will be close, but the M5 has been with us for 3 years now.

I like to the Quattro as a matter of preference and have removed the
servotronic so have a very heavy but much more accurate steering sense on my
A6.  Lets give credit where its due.
