Although I have no direct experience with them, in 1.8T land, the guys have
reported GOOD results with the Denso Iridium plugs. The Denso's used are one
heat range colder then stock.

I run NGK platinums in the A4 that are also one heat range colder with good
results as well. The 1.8T has a 9.5 to 1 compression ratio.

My RS2 S4 has Bosch platinums (installed by the PO) and the car runs well
IMO. I am not aware if they are colder than the OE plugs. I have not tried
the Bosch FD5P0R.

My experience has been that turbo cars running a lot of boost benefit from a
colder plug in order to resist pre-ignition.
