I already checked that.  Besides, no matter what the computer is doing with
the lower hose from the wastegate disconnected the turbo should spool to
infinity...well at least until fuel pressure cutoff :)

That's why I did that test was to eliminate all computer related problems.

Hmm... a little low for just the wastegate spring, but I wouldn't be
suprised (mine spring was 5 psi according to my digital boost guage).

My first guess is that you popped off the hose that runs from the engine bay
to the ECU. Take off the black cover dead center behind the strut brace
right up against the firewall. You should see a plastic line that runs
towards where the ECU is. Make sure this thing is attached. They have a
habit of blowing off due to the cheap hose clamp Audi uses here. BTDT.
