[s-cars] Clutch Problem - continued

Guys:  I am trying to determine exactly where the problem is.  With the
Clutch down/in, the Car starts in gear, i.e., the clutch is still
engaged; and when I move the Clutch up and down, I can see the
over-centre spring {spring contained in a white plastic housing, up
under the Dash} moving also.  It seems to be OK.  Therefore, based the
responses, it sounds like the MC is bad.  Could there be any other
problem other than the MC, i.e., shaft for the MC is broken, or the hose
between the MC and the Slave is leaking?  Where is the MC located in the
engine compartment?  Is it near the Master Brake Cylinder?  Thank you.
