John,
I spoke to Tim at Northern European and he says your above assertion about
the car in question is simply wrong. According to Ola at Innovative turbo the
turbos should handle the surge level this turbo is capable of generating for
10's of thousands of miles. The bearing in the turbo burnt up either from a
malfunctioning aux water pump or an oil failure, at any rate something got
the turbo bearing above 1700 degrees. Surge from a bypass/blowoff is not the
case on this car.
I must ask where you get your information, do you still read and beleive
comic books, do you have the mechanical theory in mind? I usually try to find
out what I am talking about before I say something is a fact, I am
suggesting you look at this practice to see if it would be of use to you.
Kind of reminds me of saying you can tune a chip when if you only know 3
engine maps out of 32, this is be a scary thought isnt it John. Who would pay
someone to program a chip IF they were made aware that the 'tuner' only knew
1/10 of the Maps that needed to be revised to get a car running right,
especially if they got huge money and delivered no working solutions. Gosh
John, a person who did something like that wouldnt be a person I would trust
my car to, but you can do what you want. I just try to warn people who care
to listen, I have never suffered fools well.
