Chris (and S-gruppees):  I am probably the last lister still awake on
the wet coast (Vancouver BC) so I get to chime in and answer at least
one of your questions first.

The three spoke steering wheel happened with the S6.  That's a given.
However, they (Hans and Franz) apparently still had a bunch of wheels
from the S4 and they had to use them up before they switched to the Avus
wheels.  I have a pdf of the 95 S6 brochure that I can send you on
Monday (on an high speed line from work).  However, you have to be able
to receive 6.6 Mb through your email.  The brochure shows the S4 wheels
on an S6.  I don't know what you mean by mini spare.  My 93 came with a
17 " skinny spare (but the spare well will hold a full sized wheel and
225/50/16 tire).
