[s-cars] most frustrating job

I did not do clutch slave yet so this one was most frustrating:  putting top of
the  front shock rubber boot on mounting ring (with shock and spring installed).
I after 1 hour exercise I managed to do it on one side but another hour of trying
on another side left me in deep frustration.  Whole job of replacing shocks takes
an houre and these 2 suckers....
I am even thinking about braking tabu and bring the car to dealer to put a boot
on.  I wounder how they will do it.  Maybe removing spring first and charging me 3
hours labor?
Anyone went through this procedure?  I would appreciate any hint.
