Mike,

I did one of the front drive flange seals on my trans. It was a piece of
cake. You can put 2 of the bolts in the flange and use a big screwdriver to
hold it. The flange is held on with one allen bolt in the middle. There is a
stop for the seal built into the trans so that part is easy. Just make sure
you oil it up good. Check the Bentley for the torque spec. It's something
weird like "7 lb + 1/2 turn or something. I had the trans out so I could tip
it on its side. You may lose a bit of oil. I didn't do the one on the rear of
the trans but I think the seal is the same.

 Subject: [s-cars] driveshaft seal replacement

Has anyone done replacement of the driveshaft seals
and can point me in the right direction on part
numbers and / or some directions. This will be garage
replacement 101 version please. I figure I will be
doing all 4 since I am dropping the exhaust and
driveshafts anyway. Any special tools needed? There
has been some drip marks in the garage which have
increased due to cold weather =3D seal shrinkage. I was
hoping to hold off on this until my clutch was due
but, the smell of burning gear oil dripping on my
 exhaust is killing me!
 Thanks
