The other thing to be aware of is the steering rack preload adjustment (a lock nut and a set screw visable on the top of the rack near where the steering shaft enters the rack).  If there is not enough preload, the steering will feel "loose".  If there is too much preload, the steering will not self centre very well.  This could be part of the "loose" feeling, with or without the Servotronic (BTDT).
